By now, most companies are aware that remote and hybrid work is here to stay.
Knowing this, they can no longer postpone implementing a fully supportive virtual solution that connects the spontaneous activities and interactions of their employees, virtual or not. Companies that do not offer satisfactory virtual office resources for their team – which promotes more productivity – are losing their positive image in the market.
In turn, this will lead competitors to believe the company has little concern for improving its routine and performance for its employees. As for within the company itself, its own employees and potential clients will see the disorganization and lack of structure within, thus creating discourse and dissatisfaction.
It is urgent to improve this virtual work environment that is already part of the daily lives of many managers and employees, as well as offering the alternative of remote or hybrid work to further increase flexibility and productivity.
All managers will agree that desktop virtualization goes far beyond solutions like Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and so on. Scheduling shared meetings on your computer screen is not enough. Teams that are in a remote regime want a virtual platform that offers more than video conferencing tools. They want to be able to effectively interact with colleagues who are working remotely or in person, whenever and however they wish.
Today, millions of professionals plan to continue in the remote or hybrid format, but even if they are well adapted, they yearn to socialize and interact with their co-workers like once before back in the days of in-office.
While moving to a remote routine offers many benefits, such as: flexibility of time and place of work, less commute time, and more time spent with family, it has also brought an onset of one big factor: isolation. Less face-to-face socialization, the lack of normal interaction with co-workers in the break rooms, and the feeling of loneliness, especially for those who started with a company after the pandemic.
Without the usual socialization we experienced day-to-day in the office, we have a sense of loss as we cannot chat with a fellow colleague in passing about topics that will be discussed in meetings or ongoing projects. It became more difficult to exchange ideas and topics of importance in a timely manner. Especially those employees who have only been limited to the use of Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet are struggling, bored, and looking for a solution that offers more satisfaction.
After a year and a half, it is easy to see that most companies and employees went through a difficult transition from in-office to sole remote work.
And we, the founders of MyHive, decided that we would not let that happen again.
When MyHive was created, we already knew the strength of teleworking in the future. However, with the pandemic, this change was anticipated and the successful adhesion brought like-minded people together and changed the direction of the market. We know that the pandemic has forever reshaped the way we work, as well as the way we collaborate and produce content.
Here at MyHive, we believe our company redefines the “new normal” of the work environment. With several useful features that set us apart from other companies, the platform humanizes the remote environment and brings back employee engagement.
One great feature that we have in MyHive is that we allow you to customize rooms and workspaces. By customizing the spaces, you can create an identical virtual architecture of the actual building. This approach to visualizing the physical space helps eliminate the distance between people who are separated by not even just one, but thousands of miles, allowing them to feel working side by side in an integrated, collaborative, continuous way.
You can create everything from rest spaces to commercial service environments. MyHive has a structure that was specially designed to aid companies and professionals who joined remote work in their endeavors; as it is a physical office in a virtual environment. It is more fun and even exciting to work in a completely virtual office – which is becoming the future norm – that offers freedom, socialization, information about yours or your colleagues status, and doesn’t just consist of screen, video, and audio sharing.
Each user is represented by an avatar that shows their status in real time: online, away, busy and whether they are in “Remote” or “In the Office” mode.
If the user selects the default setting, “Remote,” the avatar will be rounded, indicating that they are working from home-office. If they select “At the Office”, the avatar will be square, indicating that they are physically at the office.
“Water cooler,” a way to quickly chat with one another, brings outside guests to the office and can fully interact with professionals from all parts of the world.
And here at MyHive, when a team member needs to take a break or leave, they can select the “away” option. And if you are focused on an activity and do not want to be interrupted, you can select the “busy” option. We even have an icon option to distinguish remote users versus those who are in the company’s physical office.
At MyHive, it’s easier to work! We are available to demonstrate how our Beehive works so you can discover how it can change your company’s work routine and how perfect it is for the hybrid future.
