My Story

I was born in Birmingham in the English countryside. I did a computer science degree at Warwick University, but I soon realized that sitting at a desk coding wasn’t for me. I then changed the direction of my career to the commercial side where I gained experience in companies in diversesectors, such as Financial (Thomas Cook) and Telecom (GN Great  Nordic).
A trip to Brazil made me change directions again. I moved from London to São Paulo, where I have lived for 30 years. I worked for multinational companies as the commercial manager of Brazil, then reached the international leadership position in Latin America and Europe. I have an expertise in opening new markets for IT and Telecom companies.
This gave me the confidence to start a telecom company of its own when the brasileiro market opened for privatization in the 1990s. With the uprising of new technologies such as mobile telephones, and more recently the cloud and computing services, I continued to open new companies.
I continue to startup companies dedicated to these new technologies. And the most recent is MyHive, our “Zoom killer”!
